24th August 2014
Shakil Moollan the Managing Partner of Moollan Moollan and Mrs Sheila Moollan together with Partners Isharat Moollan, Rubysen Ramboccus and Ayoob Rawat hosted a private brunch for long time friends of the firm at the Gymkhana Club of Vacoas to welcome new partners Messrs Lucien Brossard, Mohun Mautadin and the CEO of the new department Data Management Services Badr Rawat.
Spouses were also present.
On the occasion Ayoob Rawat Senior Partner of the firm said a few words.
“Ladies & Gentlemen
As the less young partner of Moollan&Moollan, I would like thank you all for coming and say a few words.
In thinking about what to say, I thought it appropriate that we always address Ladies before men. Men believe they rule the world when in fact we know that whoever controls the credit card and the phone rule.
So on behalf of all partners I welcome you Ladies and thank you for making the world more beautiful and humane. Men you are also welcome! I am sure you will join me in thanking Navisha, who unfortunately could not join us this afternoon, in organising this informal gathering but certainly we all thank Shakil for the initiative and specially for footing the bill!!
Five years ago I went to visit Shakil just to say hello – unusually Shakil was late and I was about to leave when he came. We talked for nearly two hours meaning he must have been very late for his next appointment. At that time I was Director of one of the biggest group on many boards and committees with all benefits you could imagine.
Thinking I was going to meet a traditional accountant I was fascinated instead to hear something quite extraordinary. It was the words of a visionary with hands on experience in a sector that he mastered fully with a growing client base.
Whilst already successful in his then practice of that he had cofounded and developed there was somebody telling me that his continued success depended on his capacity to shift from traditional and declining sector to fully integrate the new digital and data age to both develop locally and internationally.
To do so he was working to invest in recruitment, training and formation but also in complementing with a network of professionals sharing similar ethics and values.
Today is a small way for all the partners of Moollan&Moollan to say thank you to you our 3rd party partners. So thank you for your support and friendship.
Let me take the opportunity to tell you about recent development at MnM as we are calling ourselves.
